Starr Custom Homes announces DreamDesign 30 in Jacksonville Beach

Tuesday, January 24th, 2017

farah-renderingStarr Custom Homes is happy to announce the commencement of DreamDesign 30, a modern home in Jacksonville Beach.

The 2100 SF home features an open floor plan on the first floor, with great room, dining area, kitchen and lanai creating one large entertainment space.  Though smaller than the typical homes we build, the design still provides architectural drama with a two-story great room and foyer divided by a second-floor bridge.

The vaulted ceilings continue on the second floor where two of three bedrooms feature vaulted ceilings.  The master suite will also boast a sliding barn door to the adjacent bath.  Modern finishes will abound, including glossy acrylic cabinets, low profile mouldings and stained concrete floors.

You can view the floor plans, designed by our partners at Pyramid Custom Home Designs, in our Dream Home Gallery.  Stayed tuned for more in-progress pictures on our Facebook page as we continue to bring DreamDesign 30 to life!

Starr Custom Homes recently completed two remodeling projects resulting in two happy clients.

The first project, pictured above, was a kitchen and bath remodel for Mark and Walda Starkey.  We took a 20+ year old kitchen and turned it into a 21st century showplace. Dingy, peeling Thermofoil cabinets and aging appliances were replaced with painted and glazed wood cabinets, a custom California island and built-in Thermador appliances, quartz countertops, cross-cut travertine flooring, a marble subway tile backsplash and more.   The bathroom was also completely updated with custom tiles, a large walk in shower, and a rustic furniture style vanity with soapstone countertop.  We’d like to thank our interior designer, Josie Myers, for collaborating on this project.

The second project was for a repeat client, Brian McElyea.  We took an open, upstairs loft and enclosed it for use as a home office.  New paint, flooring and crown moulding finished off the new space.  Plus, we installed a great built-in desk with shelving and plenty of storage from California Closets.  Now, Brian can work from home with quiet, privacy and functionality.

You can read testimonials from both of these satisfied clients here, and check out the DreamDesign 32 album on our Facebook page for before and after pictures of that project.

Dreambuilder 22 015Located on a beautiful lakefront site in the gated community, Dreambuilder 22 is made for inside/outside entertaining.  Windows and French doors line the rear of the home with gorgeous views, and an expansive lanai provides plenty of entertaining space.  Beautiful stained wood ceilings, an outdoor kitchen and a firepit provide the atmosphere – you provide the fun!

The master suite is privately situated along one side of the house with lake views.  A spa-like master bath features a barrel vault ceiling, free-standing tub and plenty of light.  Kohler and Waterworks plumbing fixtures are featured throughout the home along with Cambria quartz countertops.

Dreambuilder 22 057Upstairs, three additional bedrooms, each with its own private bath, provide plenty of room for children or guests.  A first floor ‘flex room’ can be used as a study, playroom or fifth bedroom.
