Starr Custom Homes (SCH) is pleased to announce its third Laurel Award recognizing its home designs.
“As a design-build firm, we create the design program and hire the architect or home designer for the client,” said SCH President Shawn Starr. “We create the concepts and work closely with the architect on the client’s design, so we are gratified to be recognized for our design expertise.”
DreamDesign 25 Great Room
SCH was recognized for its design for DreamDesign®25, a unique courtyard-style home that serves as the SCH model. “Though this home is only 2,850 SF, it has luxurious and unique features that you won’t find in other homes,” said Starr. “The home was created around the concept of the two-story vaulted great room with beamed ceiling and a two-story assymetric stone fireplace with the staircase wrapping around into a balcony above. Every element of the home was created with purpose and this comes through in the design.”
